

Eggplant will do well if started in a small pot, allowed to grow for around 3-4 weeks and then transplanted to the garden. Cutworms are the worst here and nematodes that attack the roots/stems of young seedlings. This helps a lot when dealing with the bugs, watering and fungus. If you have chickens you can teach them to eat the snails. it looks like we will have about 6 pineapples next month. Whenever we eat a pineapple, we plant the stem. The tree is barely 4 years old and we are regularly giving fruit away. Soursop (Guanabana) has quickly become one of our favorites. if you have a place where they can take over. if you plant a lemon tree, also plant a Miracle Berry bush.

Lacinato Kale is growing nice and strong, and so are the lemon cucumbers. I hate the fire ants that live in the trees tho. on the other hand there is always plenty of fruit.

so sometimes they are too tight together and crowd each other out. again, we just kind of let them grow where they want. now tomatoes grow like weeds all over the place.
